Chicago Bandits 2005-present:
2008: Jennie Finch has been with the USA Olympic Team this season on the "Bound for Beijing Tour." She was in attendance for the Chicago Bandits' Olympic Day (June 15) as the Bandits took on the Canadian Olympic Team. Finch signed autographs for lucky fan's and enjoyed the action of her NPF team. Earlier in the summer, Finch signed a three-year extension with the Bandits and she will return to pitch in 2009 for the Bandits...The United States finished 8-1 and won the Silver Medal…Finch started two games and went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA…The former Arizona product pitched 11 innings with one complete game…Finch faced 32 batters, struck out 14, walked three and allowed two hits with no runs…Finch will return to the Bandits in 2009 to help Chicago defend its 2008 NPF Championship.
2007: Posted 7-2 record with a minuscule 0.11 ERA…in 66.2 innings, allowed 16 hits and four runs, only one earned…struck out 119 batters…walked 10, allowed one double and no triples or home runs.
2006: Finch competed for both the Bandits and the National Team…ended the season at 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA, fanned eight...tallied a .300 average with one run, three hits, two RBIs, one double and a slugging mark of .400 in just 10 at bats.
2005: Member of the All-Star team…Co-Pitcher of the Year…pitched a .88 ERA with 144 strikeouts…allowed 46 hits in 95 innings…earned a .309 batting average going 25 for 81 with 22 RBIs, two doubles, three triples and six homeruns.
Arizona 1999-2002: Jennie Finch is one of the most decorated players in NCAA Softball history. A two-time recipient of the Honda Award, presented to the nation’s best softball player, Finch holds the NCAA for consecutive wins, with 60. A two-time Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year, she was a three-time First-Team All-American. Her blazing fastball and dangerous rise ball aided her to a 4.21 strikeout to walk ratio as a Wildcat. In addition to being one of college-softball’smost dominating pitchers, Finch also ranks seventh in Arizona history with 50 homeruns.
2002: Top three finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year…Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year…NFCA First-Team All-American…Helped team reach the NCAA Women’s College World Series, where they placed second.
2001: Helped team win the NCAA Women’s College World Series…Women’s College World Series Most Outstanding Player…NFCA First-Team All-American…Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year…Finished the season 32-0…holds the NCAA record for wins in a season without a defeat.
2000: NFCA First-Team All-American…earned a 29-2 record with 0.79 ERA…drilled 16 home runs and maintained a .327 average…First-Team All-Pac-10/
1999: Honorable Mention All-Pac-10…Helped team advance to NCAA Women’s College World Series…NCAA Regional Most Outstanding Player, went 3-0, including a no-hitter.
International: Currently a member of the 2008 National team...member of the 2004 Olympic Gold Medal softball team…took Gold with Team USA at the 2003 Pan American Games…competed with the team at the ISF World Championships
and the 2001 Pan Am Qualifier.
Personal: Finch has done commentary for multiple softball events televised on ESPN and was a co-host for This Week in Baseball…during high school, recorded a 50-12 record with six perfect games, 12 no-hitters, 0.15 ERA and 784 strikeouts...first child Ace was born in May 2006…daughter of Doug and Bev…has two siblings, Shane and Landon…has a Yorkshire Terrier named Prada…married to Casey Daigle. |
